Introducing:
Sanai Reign
Artist and Poet cultivating creativity
I want healthcare that’s worth more than a
doctor’s stare when I’m suffering. My ancestors are
still seeking freedom through me. The spiritual is
ever developing. Most of the ladies in my family
have uterine conditions. Like endometriosis,
fibrosis, and pelvic varices.
The cycle has ended I feel
I have mended into a being that has expanded past, original perceived capacity.
I’m protected by all that is Holy.
Did you know you could turn stories untold into visions that unfold into kaleidoscopes of clarity?
My Granny knew how to alchemize all the darkness into light her might could frighten even the toughest neighborhood titan.
Sometimes she could stand and when she could, she would tower in her stature, confident in holy power.
She could reveal what needed to be healed, prodding your psyche her eyes twinkle excitingly once you follow her line of questioning to a point of understanding.
Her voice deliberately inviting all the masks to decompose into residue.
Who is freeing you from the storm?
Who is guiding you home to port?
Parting the pride of posturing flies-the pollinator investigator re~invigorates your spine.
She dives into your mind before you had the time to weed through your words, as they are slipping into slop.
Your ears and arms and eyes fly away to focus on pictures and passed time.
She won't let you fly away until you freed yourself of your mind, until next time she'd declare, only after you kiss her goodbye.“Allow yourself to be.”, she whispered sweetly to me. A remedy to free yourself from complexity.
In this time I learned that healing isn’t linear. It’s very much a circular process of reconstruction, realization and recognition of your body systems. As I tap into emotional and physical bodily reactions, I empathize with more than my body. I open myself up to an evolving growth that inspires a courage to keep going.
There are stories in the space between everything and the unseen.
Can you read the signs?
# Fruitful
If God’s outside of space and time and I am made in the image of that frame in mind, why do I bind myself to systems we should’ve left behind?

I am captivated by this book; it is exceptionally well-crafted and articulated. The author has clearly put a lot of thought and effort into each aspect of the book, from its structure to its prose. The writing style is engaging and keeps the reader thoroughly engaged throughout. Overall, I find it to be a masterfully written piece of work that deserves high praise.

Sanai's ability to articulate the complexities of her experiences, both physical and emotional, is truly captivating.
“I must admit, I picked up this book simply to support one of our young authors, but now I’m so very glad I did. Sanai has an amazing brilliance with words and an ability to reflect on the human condition that is far deeper than her years. This old beautiful soul has such promise and poise and talent. I’m so happy she’s in the world. I found myself smiling repeatedly as I read through her words because of a brilliant turn of phrase or a poignant verbalization of something intense and powerful. I’m so happy to call her a colleague in the writing world; it will be better with her in it..”

“This short read, a mix of prose and poetry, chronicles the mental, physical, and emotional traumas experienced by a teenage black girl, growing up in, current day, Aurora, Illinois. Reign offers a glimpse into the places and things, as well as the motivations and actions of people who shaped her. After a thorough soul-searching, she ultimately discovers the answers would be found in the “work” she would have to do to reach the ultimate answer— “forgiveness”. Even after this revelation and this recent feat, she knows the work is far from done; she has found self-awareness and freedom from the pain; she makes it sound so doable, thank you, Sanai Reign!!! ”
